Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
I applied for a loan through a search engine. I received a call from Jason @ Regal Lenders telling me I was approved for a loan up to $***. Jason said I would need either 2 people to cosign or purchase insurance since it was a unsecured loan. I was told to go to Wal-Mart and purchase a CIC card for Insurance and load $***. I go to Wal-Mart and they didn’t carry the CIC card. I called Jason back and was told to by $*** in Google play cards. I purchase and called Jason back to redeem cards. He said I would get a text message was the money was transferred. I received text and I checked my balance and the money wasn’t there. He said I had a red flag on something. He said I need to send $*** to remove the red flag. He also said it would be refundable. So I purchased $*** in Google play cards. I called Jason back and redeemed cards. He called me back about 20 minutes later stated I needed to pay another $*** for some kind of taxes. At this point I demanded either the $*,*** back or the loan money. The refused both and then tells me I would still be responsible for loan.
