Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted by an ’employment agency’ in Nova Scotia about employment in Calgary with a start up company. She then dropped out of sight and I was then contacted about 2 weeks later by the noted company. Flags began to go up when they sent me a ‘check’ for 4800 to deposit it into my bank account to purchase office supplies. CIBC account 00109 010 400 3rd Avenue SW Calgary T2P 4H2. The Calgary Office is listed on the cheque is 324 8t Avenue SW Calgary, T2P 2Z2. I am supposed to meet their Project Manager on March 31 to take a tour of the offices. The ‘check’ was sent by UPS Tracking No. 1Z4 XA 542 14 1737 5064 from a TM5G 1B1.oronto address. 250 Yonge Street Toronto although all correspondence had been from 60 Otter Lake Ct, Halifax NS B35 1L9.
