Is publishers clearing house a scam. I was told I won one million dollars an five thousand a week for life but have to give her three hundred dollars. She is on messager she wanted to be my friend first Her name is Danielle lam. Why send money if I win something. I didn’t do it. 

They want to be friends in Facebook an then messenger an tell you won a lot of money but have to give them a certain amount. Please tell people not to fall for it.

Call from 876-391-4605 claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House and notifying her of sweepstakes win, but need to pay fee up front first.

Consumer received a couple of calls from 2 different numbers – 876-318-2738 and 876-367-2294 – from someone purporting to be Publisher’s Clearing House and consumer is a winner of $1.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. Consumer was required to pay the tax on the prize upfront. Consumer declined.

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

Consumer received a call advising her that she is the winner of $2.5 million dollars and a car from purported PCH representative, John Lucky at 876-305-4672. Consumer was required to pay $2400 to receive the prize. Consumer terminated the call.
