A person named Chris Brown called me about a week ago saying he is from the criminal investigation division of the IRS. Says after an audit they found fraud misconduct on my taxes which I’m hiding from the federal government. And I need to call immediately as this needs to be rectified. These are his exact words. Call was from 202-684-3345.

automated call from number with area code 318 to a landline phone that is rarely used. message says to call the 936 number. called the 936 number and male with what sounded like an indian accent answered saying i owed money. would not give his name. i said i will call police and he threatened that i would go to jail when police come because of the money owed. i hung up and a few hours later i got the automated call again.

I’ve been getting recorded phone calls and messages on my cell phone and so have my friends saying the IRS is after us and call them back on their number. One happened at 4am this morning and woke me up. Sometimes late at night. Here are some from today.
202-831-1034 2x, 646-432-4521, 959-929-2313; my boyfriend’s cell phone and my cell phone both were called & recorded computerized woman’s voice said they are taking us to court for unpaid taxes.

Early morning before the sun was up calls stating final notice from IRS that there was a discrepancy on our taxes and we owe $4898. Heavy accent with English types of names as Mark Allen and his senior chief officer Jacob O Connor. They knew our name and address n stated that they have sent mail to us and it has returned twice so this is our last warning and will need to resolve this. So upon further speaking to the chief officer, he hung up.

Phone call from 646-558-5543, recorded message saying "IRS final contact attempt" prior to filing court action on taxes owed.
I called the number back, gentleman with a heavy south asian accent answered, I heard sounds of a call center in the background. The gentleman knew my first name.
The gentleman stated he was IRS agent "mick jones". I asked him to provide me the info he had for me. he asked me to write down his badge number and my case file number.
I told him I would do that once he told me the info he had for me.
The gentleman then hung up the phone.

Received a phone call saying I was being sued by the IRS. My husband took the message and I called back. Guy asked me for my phone number which I gave and he says is this Nicole, so I said you have the wrong person because there is no one by that name at my phone number, he was also chewing chips in my ear at the time. When I told him he had the wrong person, he says "look bitch we know everything about you even how you [censored]d your father. I hit the roof knowing this was fake, swore the hell out of him and now reporting it. His number is 1-202-754-8448 and he had an Indian sounding accent.

Consumer received a voice mail from someone claimiming to be John of IRS at 202-657-4238, threatening a lawsuit. When consumer returned his call, he said he will settle the matter with $4,000. Consumer terminated the call.
