4/28/17 received phone call from supposed FBI agent reporting a person found with a 2.5 million dollar check with my friends name on it. 5/4/17 received an envelope in the mail (no return address) containing a form letter from Publishers Clearing House dated 4/20/17 stating she was a second place winner in the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion and there is a check included for $6,621.00 issued by HSBC BANK USA at One HSBC Center, Buffalo, NY. The telephone number listed to call to claim the prize has been changed and hand written in. This looks like a scam to me.

I received a phone call from Christian Taylor claiming he was with Publishers Clearing House. He said I had won $375,000 and a new car. He said all I needed to do to claim my prize was to go to Walmart and get a cashier’s check for 1% of the winnings to pay for shipping. He said once we got the check a representative from Publisher’s Clearing House and a Sheriff officer would meet up to go to the bank to deposit. He said our winnings would then be transferred to our account.
