received an email via Linked in to apply for a Secret Shopper Position with Progressive research group out of Montana. I entered my name and email as interest after visiting their website and looked legit. I then started receiving emails for my assignment and payments of $1500 plus $350 for commission. I found it strange that there was no one to contact other than Paul Pruitt and asked that they stop emailing me as I am not interested. Today I received a check in the mail for $2500 dollars for my first "assignment". checked the website again today to find a contact person that I could ask what to do with it because I had not agreed to this, then found the website no longer existed. The check was also written from the YWCA of South Hamptons road, but the address matches a childrens abuse shelter
