Total money lost $340

Type of a scam Online Purchase

On 1-15- 18 I found a website call Portlandenglishbulldogs.com I was in the market to buy an English

Bulldog for my daughter. I submitted an inquiry on this website about a dog that was listed for sale,

NINO. Mr. Luke Simmons reached out to me the next day. We had an exchange of emails, text

conversations, etc. I thought everything was going great. We agreed on a price, what all came with

Nino, and signed a contract. Since the puppy need to be flown to me, Mr. Luke Simmons asked for a

deposit on the puppy to cover the cost of the flight. I transferred $340 via western union to him. I

then got an email from a Lana pet Transport Agency telling me they needed an additional $980.76

for pet insurance, so he could fly. I contacted Mr. Simmons and asked him about it. He said that is

was refundable to go ahead and pay it. I said no I’m not. This was never brought up or discussed

prior and if it is necessary to have you should pay it if it’s refundable. That is where things went

down hill. I even offered to drive to pick up the puppy…and I got no response. Then Mr. Luke

Simmons told me he would refund my money since we could not work this out. I have not received

any monies back. I called my credit card company to let them know I did not receive the goods

(dog) I paid for. We, the credit card company and I, disputed the charge and they told me that

Western Union comes up as the Merchant on my statement and that is why I can’t get my money

back. I’ve called, texted and emailed Mr. Luke Simmons with avail. Shortly after all of this, Portland

English Bulldogs in now coming up as a scam on the web. I found out "Mr. Luke Simmons" if that is

even his name is a deceased person, and the traveling pet agency is a fraud. So needless to say, my

daughter who just beat cancer, did not get the dog I paid for.

The individual constantly sells the same 10 puppies that are 10 weeks old. He will only answer limited questions and when you ask for details he will get upset. He only wants to ship the puppies via airline and ask for cash upfront sent by Western Union only. He will request you send $680 to ship the puppy and promises additional toys and a bed for the dog.
