Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted with a fake job opportunity from "Polaris Transportation Network." I was put through an elaborate interviewing and training process with real legal manuals that must have been skimmed from a true international shipping company. I was not asked for an SSN. I was asked to participate in a "project" where they would pay off a balance on my credit card, and after the payment cleared, I would purchase Apple products for their "offices," sending the products to them. I refused, completed training and testing with the continued support of my "HR" contact, and never heard from them again. I do have an employment contract specifying payment amount/method/date for the training and tests I completed weekly. I spoke with multiple people over the phone. Their website is down now, it was "polaristn.com". The host for the site is Ukrainian and their website is "https://www.ukraine.com.ua/contacts/". Their call center suggested I submit a chat query in english, which I did. I also contacted Polaris Transportation GROUP in the U.S. "https://polaristransport.com/en/" to alert them to the copycat scam. I have dozens of emails and documents from this incident saved.
