Type of a scam Other

A man claiming to be with the sheriffs department called telling me of a summons for arrest for not appearing for jury duty in August. He said I was to go to the CVS and purchase two $450.00 green dot cards (money paks). He wanted my cell phone number so that he could be on the phone with me while I made the purchase and he would get the card numbers and give me a court date to appear before a judge and get my money released back to me. I lied and said I didn’t have a cell phone so he said he was going to "let me do this on my own" and that I’d have to call back with the card numbers. When he hung up from me I called the non emergency police number and let them know of the scam. The TPD said they don’t do follow up unless I was a victim. I also called CVS corporate and let them know of the scam here in Tucson. I couldn’t resist and I called the man back and told him not only was I not going to be giving him any money but that I also contacted the local police and CVS. He then got verbally abusive using terrible language and the last thing he said was "You don’t know who you’re f—ing with, we know where you live." He actually did say my address when he first called. I called TPD back and just went on record as having been threatened.
