I’ve gotten three texts about claiming packages by clicking a link. All slightly different wording and from three different numbers. Too screenshots of all.

I received a call from a friend’s number. It was someone saying they found her phone. They are now trying to get me to send her contact information to Mexico, asking for passcodes, etc. I am not responding any longer and did not give much info.

Phone message regarding four serious allegations against the person receiving the call. Have 24 hours to respond before being taken into custody by the local cops. No company/organization stated in the message. This message was received by my daughter on her cell phone. She is a minor – age 14. She has received 2 messages from this number regarding the same ‘matter’.

This company has called me two days in a row from # *** twice each day, right in a row. The message left states that I need to contact "Mr ***" regarding last 4 social *** and they read off the last 4 of my SSN. Then they give me a call back number os ***. They state that I need to be at my place of residence or place of work on Tuesday to accept papers. But they never say what the papers are regarding, but that the "call is being recording."

I feel like this is a scam. Especially since they do not disclose a company name, just the name of the person that I need to return the call to.

I received a call from this number saying they had been trying to get in contact with me the last 6 months saying they had issues with myself and my family regarding issues (sound was blurry so I could not hear what issues) and that I needed to contact them. They said it had something to do with the US government. I have never received any notices in the past 6 months. I have not had any issues with anything. I believe this to be a scam.

I have the mr. number app on my phone so I am able to track all the calls that come from this residence. It’s a mobile phone, and they use various names and numbers to call me. I block each number and then select scam. So, the next time they call me it’s a new number, new name but from same residence. It’s a vicious cycle and I’m getting sick and tired of it. I believe that they are phishing.

I received a call that left me a message saying I needed to call this number back. I had some sort of issues that if I did not discuss with them, they would send someone out to my home to arrest me. I didn’t get much more information.

I got three calls in a row from my area code, but the caller spoke with a heavy Indian accent, and it sounded like a boiler room operation with many other Indian people. He offered to help me refinance my home. He knew my address, my home’s worth according to sites like Zillow and Trulia, and made only a minor mistake when telling me who my homeowner’s insurance was through. (I know for a fact that I don’t owe enough on my house to qualify for a mortgage refinance because I’ve tried to find a refinancer before and was turned down everywhere I tried.)

All three calls came in on July 27, 2018, starting at 3:17 p.m. local time. I made the mistake of having a brief conversation, and gave him Yes answers, (it may be a Yes scam where my voice is used to authorize fraudulent charges), then after I hung up on him, he called back at 3:22 p.m., and again at 3:23 p.m. before giving up on me.

My wife and I both received calls from a private number on our cell phones, and I received a voicemail from a Caitlyn Spencer claiming to be a process server in the county we live in. She claimed that she is trying to serve my wife legal documents and that she would be at our home between 3-5p the next day and / or our place of employment to obtain a signature. She said if we had questions about the matter to call 866-697-2203 and to provide a case number that she gave us. She said if my wife continued to ignore her we would be non compliant and that court proceedings would continue without her. She ended the call by stating that my wife has been officially notified. When we called the number a man answered almost immediately and claimed the business name to be ADR and that they handle all kinds of civil disputes. The man asked to verify my wife’s info and provided the last four digits of her SSN which were correct. At this point we believed it to be a scam and disconnected. The man did not ask for money but it really seems like they eventually would have.

I received a voicemail from a recorded message telling me that starts with "…has expired and you will be taken in custody by local police as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request that you get in touch back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us at is *** ***  Thank you."

I didn’t call the number as shows the number is a Non-Fixed VOIP number in New York, New York with the original carrier being Ymax Communications.

This person called me saying I owed back taxes. I know I do not owe anything, so I asked them what I owed these back taxes for. Once I asked this, the person on the other end started getting mad, cussing at me, and saying very vulgar comments.

I didn’t answer, but they left this message: "And once again expired after that you will be taken under custody by the local police as there are four serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment we would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is *** * *** *** Thank you." NOTE: I had received this same call back on 6/1/18 from number 315-370-7814 (New York). On the 6/1/18 calls, they were relentless and called 5 or 6 times in a row (one after the other) within a half hour’s time and left the same message each time. I ended up blocking the number, and now they are calling from the 747 number. They are calling my cell phone.

Sunday, May 6th was a stressful night when a received a threatening phishing email in my main inbox of my student email account. The email was a threat stating they apparently hacked my front camera capturing video aka web cam on my PC (I own a Macbook) and apparently captured a video for black mail to be sent out to my contacts unless they receive 368 dollars in Bitcoin. If they don’t receive the money they will forward the video to everyone on my contact list. After running MacKeeper’s Antivirus Scan on my Macbook I was able to locate malware and viruses I must have accidentally and without knowledge downloaded or picked up from a pop-up or website. With the help of Mackeeper Live Support, I was able to destroy the malware and viruses, cleaned out adware, and they had me reset my Google Chrome browser back to default settings. I wanted to report this incident, because it is a phishing scheme that to some might seem real and they need to know to be aware of it and what to do. I advise to run your security software for your laptops and/or PC and be aware of malicious phishing emails and malware.
