I received a voicemail on my cell phone from a guy stating, "this is Peyton Wilson with Bonham Graham Associates. We have a pending case in our office that requires your immediate attention. It is imperative that I speak with you or your attorney of record today. My number is 317-747-0037. If I do not hear from you or your attorney, I will document that you have waived your rights to counsel and submit your case. Govern yourself accordingly."
I returned the call. I female answered the phone as if representing the firm listed above. I told her I was returning a call. She asked me to hold on while she checked her computer. After about 15 seconds, she stated they didn’t have anything for me. I asked her how she verified that. She said she has caller ID and looked my number up. I then proceeded to ask her why they called me if I wasn’t in the computer. She stated that they sometimes get files on people that had the phone number before. I then asked her how she was verifying that when she never asked me who I was. Bottom line, the message never stated the name of the person they were trying to contact. I continued pressing the lady for info until she hung up on me.
