Perry Hamilton/Walmart Survey Research Consultants

Joanna – Dec 29, 2020

I applied for secret shopper position online so when this came at first I was excited. Obviously, I researched the company immediately after opening the priority envelope.

First thing I noticed was the return address was for a company “Rynjake Enterprises” in AR 72207 was different from the Hamilton Perry Walmart research group listed on the actual check and assignment paperwork.

Well one google search shows that this piece of [censored] is still out there and still scamming.

Not sure if LEO will even do anything about it but give them the check if you go that route or just shred it immediately.

Their intention is that you have a good relationship with your bank so when you go and deposit the check, the bank initially releases the funds to you…but don’t have any doubt-that check is fake and after you send this guy money (money orders/Walmart gift cards/whatever the case is), it’s gonna come out if your pocket and the bank will hold you responsible.

By the way, it’s not even a real cashiers check…or real check…guy uses different real bank names but with awful photoshopping skills etc)

Go ahead, call and pretend to work at a bank or a check cashing place and call the phone number/bank on the “check” to verify the funds and they’ll tell you that the check doesn’t even exist lol.

DO NOT DO IT

I want to think this site on the web for giving me heads up because I was about to take this check to the bank and I am so glad that I decided to review before I did it and I’m thankful for you out there for putting yourself out there letting us know that this is a scam thank you very much

I reviewed it before I even went as far as driving to the bank to cash it, so I did not get scammed but I am posting these pictures of the attempt only because I know I did apply for a secret shopping job online previously, which I’m assuming he more likely got the information from in order to set up the scam (maybe he’s even the one who’s posting the job listing) But beware he also has a profile on the Linkedin Website, just another attempt to try to convince you he’s legit don’t let it fool you.

I just got scam check in the mail today. I know it’s a scam. Happened when I lived in Florida about 2 yrs ago. Still paying off wells Fargo account from it. Not worth the time to think about cashing or following the instructions on it. Report it and burn it like I do

Victoria – Jul 14, 2020

I received a letter in the mail with CONFIDENTIAL written all over it, it was a secret shopper job with all kinds of instructions, and Attached was a check for $1,470. I brought the check to my bank, they found out it was fake right away, and now they’re closing my account because of this [censored]. The bank tells me “you have to be more careful” as if I know what the [censored] a fake check looks like.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received an email about a secret shopper job opportunity from what I believed to be from a credible school email. I submitted my info and received in the mail a letter and a cashier’s check for $2,320. The job entailed buying several Walmart gift cards and emailing the front and back of the cards worth over $300 each to the person "Perry Hamilton" the "task advisor." This is the second letter I have received for this scam job opportunity and I don’t want someone to become a victim to this, especially since I think college students are being targeted and they could be vulnerable due to the amount of money that is supposedly being offered for the simple job.
