This guy called on my husbands cell and said we had won $250 million a Mercedes, and $7 thousand per week for life. He was very good and spoke English. He did not ask for money up front but said someone would call us at 1:30 today to make arrangements for delivery. I called the number from our home phone and they did answer Publishers Clearing House but I hung up. They did also ask where my husband worked. He told him where he was retired from. No other personal information was given. We knew it was a scam. Then I called the ScamPulse.com here in Amarillo to report and they confirmed. Of course we have never entered these contests either.

received call from PCH yesterday claiming I had won 18.5 million and stating they were sending payment to bank of america and needed me to go to walmart tomorrow and give them a code number and 1500 dollars in fees to receive the 18.5 million which alerted me that it may be a scam. I called the sheriffs dept and they referred me to ScamPulse.com

I could hear a rooster crowing in the background

The number they gave me to verify the deposit 16362515273

I gave them info requested to access my wife’s computer. when we discovered it, they had installed a program they installed and that they may have access to her bank info. We notified the bank and they reassured her there was no way for the account to be compromised (Regions) unless she provided her bank acct # or SSN.

Caller was male with accent, didn’t sound latin-american or european but unsure from where but was easily understandable.

I am 91 years old and my wife will be 87 tomorrow.

received a call from the above #, telling me that I was a winner of PCH contest, which I did enter& she did ask if I had entered other times or how manytimes, I told I had maybe many years ago& hadent untilthis time telling me to sit down as she said the amount of the chech that I would be receiving was $5000,000. I don’t know what their end-game was, we talked a bit.she was very sincere, no questions for any numbers of any accounts or SS #., she qualified that by saying, nothing will be asked for personal type of info., I think to sound more legit & put me at ease, talked a bit I was elated to say the least, in that bit I did mentioned how ever how this was amazing how it would help, as I was on a fixed income & this was truly needed, When she mentioned she was going to transfer me to a finance lawyer & again " no questons for banking account numbers for savings & checking, I said ok, "no savings only checking". I just remembered she did ask if I owned my home , I do, or was it in trust for my sons, "no". Also a special Courier would be bringing the check on Monday between 8 & 11 in the am, " would I be home? & i repled Yes, no propblem. I think I did mention I live inan Audlt Community I was tranferred to another female(lawyer) we did speak briefly ,hello – intros, don’t recall any names. Next thing we got disconnected, I was upset, because wanted to continue & hear what she was going to say about financial matters, taxes, trust so on. Well that was it , I did call my son & he said " don’t believe it!" Well I 1 was ELATED TO THINK I WON THIS MUCH MONEY, Then I was so dejected & down it was like I LOST IT( MONEY) I WAS RICH & NOW I’m back to being not so rich, & then I was ANGRY that they play with me like a trick ! Later I called the phone # from the caller I D, "number not a working number" some time. I did call Publishing Clearing House, & they told me they DO NOT notify winners by phone. Also called the phone company, they couldn’t confirm that a number with the last four digits being zeros is a true nnumber, maybe a robo calling system.

Well bottom line, I don’t know what their purpose was, then I was concerned tha they new I would be home alone on Monday, but I do live in a gated community, theywouldn’t be allowed in without seucrity calling me first.

PS – NO ONE CALLED ME BACK THAT DAY OR ANY OTHER & NO ONE CAME ON MONDAY AT THE HOURS THEY SAID EITHER,SO THAT’S THAT. Maybe it was their sick prank. So I was rich for a short while I only lost some time. But.I do think it’s important for others to be aware of these things that some people do Just so you know, I couldn’t select the age 18-24,since I’m 79 yrs. one other foot-note–I was contacted on an UNLISTED PHONE,strange!!!

I was called and informed I won the Publishers Clearing House. They requested I send them 299.00 via money gram from Walmart and insisted I stayed on the phone with them so they could send the prize patrol to my house to meet me when I return from Walmart. I was in route when it hit me that this was a scam. I told them I would not do this and they kept insisting I stay on the line so they could convince me it was a real prize.

My husband received a call on our home phone a couple weeks ago about winning PCH information for me. He told them to call back that I was gone.day I received a call on my cell phone from 876-562-xxxx (Dave S) claiming I had won last month and needed to call the Claim Dept. 470-339-0337 (Susie P, Gen.Mng.) immediately. I said I had an appointment and was leaving and would call in a couple of hours. I since checked this number on line and am reporting it as it appears to be another scam of some sort. I did not call back so I don’t know what Susie P would want from me and will hang up if they call again.

I have had for phone calls from someone claiming to be PCH, Publishers Clearing House. The first phone call stated that I won millions of dollars and a new Mercedes. The second phone call was giving me instructions of how to pay $10,000 for insurance in order to receive my prize. I was driving during the third phone call and did not take it. The fourth phone call I told them I was not interested in their scam and for sure was not sending them $10,000. PCH fraud hotline I spoke with immediately after the call, of course said this was a scammer call, they, nor any sweepstakes will ever ask for money to claim prizes. I alerted my family to the fraud attempt. Was a rather elaborate attempt giving package number:75357034882us-ne and being handled by Bank of America and Warren Buffet. The person seemed to be in a panic that I placed him on mute as I was checking the phone number online, claimed we were being recorded and I could not place him on mute.

Original call from above number. Informed me that I won a car and a certified check from PCH. I was instructed to call 1 876 461 9789 and ask for agent Malone, for further instructions. I was told to go to my nearest Walmart and purchase some papers They couldn’t tell me what kind of papers or where to find them. They took my name and address, and wanted to know how far away from wal mart I was. As I was backing out of my garage, he said, When you get back, Opra Winfrey will be at my house with a new car and a check for a million dollars. then he said, you do know about the taxes don’t you? He said it’s 1% and that comes to $1400.00. You do have the money don’t you?

The call came in from Jamaica and the guys name he was using is Don Peterson. He said he was from PCH and asked me if anyone from the PCH had contacted me before. I told him no. He went on to congratulate me on winning a Mercedes-Benz and $850,000. He gave the the prize code as $850000 for the money and the car plate # was 1881PA . Then he asked me what time I would be home and I gave him 1pm. Then he told me he had to finish some paper work and would call me back in 20 mins. I am at work and I work in customer service and was with a customer when he called back and couldn’t take the call. Then right after I got done helping the customer my phone rang again and it was a restricted number. He asked me what kind of issues I was having with the agent. I told him none as I was at work and couldn’t answer the phone at the time he called back. They both told me that the phone call was being recorded and that the BBB and Some government agency was listen to the call. This guy then went over all of the prizes again then asked me my address. I ask him what address he had in front of him as the first man said I should have received something in the mail. The phone got quiet and then he hung up. I have not been bother with another phone call since. I hope no one falls for the scam.

He stated that I had won 2.5 million dollars and a new car. But before they could make the delivery I would have to pay $995.00 Registration fee. I informed him that I was not going to pay the fee. I also told him I would pay him after the check cleared in 7 to 10 business days. He started to get pushiest he tried to get my personal information I declined to answer his questions. I stated that he should have a safe trip home and he hung up on me. That proves to me it was a scam due to he no longer wanted to try to get money out of me. If anyone asks for money upfront to receive money it is a scam. And if they try to get personal information DON’T give it to them. By the way PCH is located in NY. Someone called to my mother that she was a winner of the Publisher clearinghouse. She won $8 million dollars, and a Mercedes Benz. To claim her prize she would need to mail a certified check for $850. Thank God when she went to get the check, she went to her bank. When the teller asked who to make it out to, the teller realize that my mother was being scammed, and told her that she shouldn’t get the check. When my mother returned home she received a phone call asking if she got the check. She replied no and she told the man to take it out of the winnings in to send her the rest. The man told her it didn’t work that way, that she need to go back and get the check she replied no and hung up the phone. She received 25 calls after that from that same number. The next day he called again she told him no again and the man said that he will send someone out to her house to bring the winnings to her. I, her daughter contact the sheriff department to make them aware of this situation. To have patrols to go down her street.

Received a call from Jamaica from a woman claiming to Michelle West. She spoke with a notable accent and stated I had won 2nd prize in the Publisher’s Clearing House sweepstakes : 1.5 million USD, and a Pearl White Mercedes Benz. She tried to gain my trust by asking me if I believed in fate and that she was a woman of her word and of strong faith, I should thank God that He guided her to call me this day Dec 7th, 2016. She asked me to write down a claim number, a check number, and her name: Michelle West, badge number 125341. After I pretended to entertain this charade and agreed to be passed to her "General Manager" she stated she was patching me thru to extension 5. A man who claimed to be Dell Jenkins answered and said he was the General manager and the CEO (wow). He said "I am a very serious man and I am a man of my world, I am going to ask you some information so I can pull out your file". And here is where he tried to get me, (the moment I was waiting for). My name; I said "You guys called me, I am the winner… you tell me who you are trying to reach" He was taken back by my statement and proceeded in a notable upset voice which by now sounded a lot like Michelle’s voice; he said " I am a serious man! I am the CEO!, I am not here to play games or play a joke, If you are uncomfortable please take your time and tell me your name, or you can just tell me to hang up". I told him, I am skeptical about this whole thing and usually If someone calls a person to inform of being a winner of something they have all the information already. After that he (or very likely she, Michelle) said in a more upset tone, "i remind you, I am a serious man of my word and of strong faith I am not trying to fool you or play a joke". By now I am tired of this and told him "the way this whole thing has been approached is not likely to be legit, and that it has been fun but now I don’t feel like playing anymore; I asked him/her to please hang up and never call again. indeed a scam!

These people call me from a Kingston, Jamaica phone number 876-502-8234 stating he was a rep. with PCH and that I had won 2.5 million. I gave him no information because his use of foul language was very suspicious, so I hung up. Can you look into this please. Before someone else is contacted by these people.

I received a call that I had won 2.5 million and a Mercedes from the PCH. I was told I would need to pay 1% of the shipping and handling charge, which would be $325. I was to go to Walmart and get a money gram card

and wait from a call from Edward Sparks. The money was to go to Laura Blair, 24 St. Mary’s Street, Portland, Jamaica. They called back and asked for the numbers and I said I would not give it to them over the phone and that I would give it to the guys delivering everything later that day. He said that they would cancel the winnings if I did not give them the numbers and that I was lying. (which I was as I did not get the cards)

Total money lost $228

Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes

I recieved a call saying i won 10 Million Dollars and a car from PCH. I entered a drawing a couple months ago for the 10 Million so i thought it was legit. I talked to 3 different people: James Carter who calls me every day to check on me. Donald Trump supposed CEO and an IRS agent supposedly. They told me in order to recieve my prizes i had to pay a fee of 450.21$ and i was skeptical at first but he then proceeded to tell me i would be reimbursed after i payed and i was like okay no big deal but i thought it was still to much to pay so I convinced him to let me pay half and i did i wired him 200$ in 2 separate payments. After i payed that he then proceeded to tell me that I have to pay an additional 100$ for a stamp on my check and then I realized i was being scammed also i should have realized it sooner when he told me to send it to Jamaica. He asked me to use a western union or go through Walmart and Walmart-MoneyGram is what i used.

A woman called me on my cellphone informing me that I had won a million dollars and a brand new car from PCH. The call was breaking up often, and it was hard to understand most of what she was saying. We did not get far enough along the conversation to find out how I could claim my "winnings." I eventually hung up the phone. All it took was a quick Google search to find out that PCH does not use a phone call to inform winners of their big winnings.
