We are consistently faxed Computer Hardware/ Software protections that appear as a bill invoice. They are presented in this fashion but are titled as an Ad. There is no information to contact them by phone, only fax and email. There are several reports online that also state it is a scam.

I received a faxed bill at my office… which after checking very closely turned out to be a proposal… from "PC Shield" to provide hardware/software protection.

What caught our attention at first was web address was incorrect, and we had never heard of the company. Then we noticed the From: is actually Ad From:, and in the footer of the page it calls it a proposal and is not a bill.

Their fax machine is not set to show the transmission header, so I have no idea if this came from the fax number they provide in the body of their "proposal", or whether it was sent from some other fax line. There is no phone number to contact them, and a quick Google search doesn’t pull up a legit company anywhere in Oklahoma. By researching the address, it shows the PO Box was last registered to someone who has deceased, not a PC software company.

We have received several of these deceptive ads, luckily we caught it…our bookkeeper was going to pay it thinking it was a legitimate invoice.

We received an unsolicited fax that looked like a bill for a service we do not subscribe to. In the fine print/disclaimer it states that this is not a bill. Very deceptive.
