I responded by email to an ad online for a motorcycle for sale. The seller told me it belonged to his dad, who had died. He described the motorcycle and told me it was packed away in a warehouse in Portland, OR, called Paul Marsden Transport & Warehouse. The seller indicated this was a full-service vehicle transport company and warehouse that even offered escrow services to hold monies until the vehicle was delivered and buyer inspection complete.
It’s a complete scam. The website was set up only several days ago (I did a reverse lookup on the domain, www.pmtw-global.com, at Whois.org). Their street address is for a legitimate company, which I called, and they confirmed PMTW is not located there. The phone number is for another moving company.
Unfortunately it was all done very well. I suspect someone might transfer money to this fictitious company to facilitate the sale, and the scammer would simple disappear with the money. Buyers beware.
