Type of a scam Utility
The sales rep call themselves Inspectors. They will say that there is a danger with any older mid-efficient furnace unit and will try to convince you that they need to inspect, and even suggest replacement for a high energy furnace. They will say that the Ontario Government offers rebates to replace the furnace for free. However, they do not mentioned that when they will replace your unit, and will CHARGE fees(example.rental). When I realized that they will charge, I told them I am not interested. They will keep trying to convince you that it is in line with the Ontario Government, and that these changes are a must. They will not take ‘NO’ for an answer.
