My computer had a flashing pop up with an 800 to call for assistance because a lock was placed on my computer. I called the number and the person Richard Martin I was transferred to who identified himself as a Certified Microsoft Technician requested assess to my computer to help with the pop up lock and advised either my computer no longer had protection from viruses or has contracted a virus. He gave me a phrase to type in and this gave him assess to my computer. He then went into my computer configuration and pretended to show me where I virus could be detected and without me realizing added a password requirement onto the computer. He then offered different price packages for their services and when I declined my computer screen went black and a new pop up appeared requesting a password to start the computer. I’ve tried turning off the computer, control, alt, delete and nothing works. I can no longer assess my computer because of this. I have files on my computer with very sensitive information.
