Type of a scam Online Purchase
Found on Craigslist a car I liked. So I texted the number. Got a reply from a daughter saying to send email and her mom will get back to me. Got an email with this:
Dear,
Thanks for your e-mail about my 2015 Mini Cooper S. It has 34,175 miles and manual transmission. We never had any accidents or bumps with it. As you can see from the photos, the car was very well taken care of. I have a clear title for it, legally under my name, with no liens or loans on it. The sale price is $7500. This belonged to my husband who died a month ago due to a heart attack.I cherish his memory but I can’t use it on my own, since the tragedy.My daughter and I sold the house and moved with my parents in Omaha , NE for a new start.

Then I sent a few emails about cost- she said costs are included in price and a transport service would ship the car.
Then I sent another reply email and got this reply:
Thanks for sending me your info, you’ll see its a great company to use. I’ll start the transaction with Omaha Transports. They will send you the invoice by e-mail, containing the instructions about your safety and the steps to complete the sale. After you receive the email from Omaha Transports, if you decide to buy it, please call them so they can assist you in the payment process. They will keep your money in a trust fund account until you get the vehicle and try it out for 5 days. If at the end of the 5th day you decide to keep it, you sign the title (which you will be receiving already signed and authorized into your name) and call them to release the money to me. If not, you return it for a refund.
