Type of a scam Nigerian/Foreign Money Exchange
First, I am a Sister of *** ****** ** ******. A fax was sent to my former ministry fax machine. Secondly, the sender, James Olsen purported to be from Olsen & Baker Law Office. He stated that, after extensive research into possible relatives of Peter Huepper and none being found, I was the recipient of a $10,650,000 insurance policy. I am not aware of any relative in Toronto. Here I quote, "…I ask for your consent to be in partnership with me for the claim of this policy benefit, in view of the fact that you share the same last name and nationality with the deceased. If you permit me to add your name to the policy, all proceeds will be processed on your behalf. I wish to point out that I want 10% of this money to be shared among charity organizations while the remaining 90% will be shared between us." As you can see this is entirely bogus. Other details include: risk free, documented paperwork, 30 day timeframe, etc. I googled "James Olsen attorney Toronto Ontario CAN and his name indeed appeared with details regarding mission, areas of expertise, partners, etc. – it is very sophisticated. I believe that it is very important to share this kind of information so that others do not get caught up in this trap. Below is a copy of the document.
