Type of a scam Tax Collection
They called me and asked for basic information like name, date of birth, last four digits of social. Then told me that I owe money for income tax that is due. I said that I don’t, but he insisted that I do. He stated that the police would arrive at my door in 45 minutes. He also gave me his badge number and information. I keep telling him to run the report back and to explain it to me like six times. Then he hung up.
