Type of a scam Debt Collections
Received phone call from "Joe Williams" of IRP Associates saying that O’Brien, Wexler & Associates LLC were filing a judgment against me for a debt I didn’t owe. I told him I didn’t even know about the debt he was rude and said I just didn’t want to pay it. He claimed I took it out online with some company called VIP Loan Shops; never heard of it. He said the debt was $300. Beware, they are scammers. They don’t follow FDCPA because they didn’t give the intro of "this is a debt…etc." I’ve also reported them to FTC and CFPB.
