Type of a scam Debt Collections

A few months back I had a lady calling me telling me she was calling with IRP Associates for a debt owed that was sent to their office to collect before it was sent to court for a law suit against me for a supposed pay day loan I owed. I asked multiple times what the company was, what year the loan was made, what the address of the supposed pay day loan company was and what information she had about me to prove that she was who she said she was.

She was asking me personal information like my social security number and date of birth to confirm and prove I was who she was trying to reach. I told her I wasn’t giving any of my info out to her and she could send me an email or paperwork in the mail if I was being served for anything. I asked her what the address was for the loan company she was claiming I owed and she gave me my own old address from 2011, not the companies address. I called her out on it and she hung up on me. I generally ignore calls from numbers I do not know or that aren’t identified, but these people were calling me multiple times a day, so last week I answered and it was a man by the name of Joe Willams who stated he was with IRP Associates representing Obrian Wrexler and Associates who are suing me unless he gets a payment from me.

He was very persistent that I am going to be sued by Ace Cash express, when I don’t ever remember having a loan with them. He said the original amount owed was $581.75 but the amount I have to pay is $1389.08 unless I wanted to make a payment arrangement and take the lower settlement and make 3 payments of $193.91. He stated he would send me an email with proof of the law suit and outlining the payment arrangement, I never received an email. I did receive another three calls from the Mr. William’s who left voicemails pressuring me to settle with him or they cant help me from being sued. I decided to look up Obrian Wrexler and Associates and IRP Associates. There is no real working number for Obrian Wrexler and Associates and the main number for IRP is not the same main number Mr. Willaims gave me as the main number. After doing more research there were 25 complaints with the ScamPulse.com already for Obrian Wrexler and Associates with the same exact story as my own and that after they paid what they were pressured into there was no debt resolution and no amount of proof sent that they paid helped removed anything from their credit reports. I feel I am being scammed and have no way to confirm if there truly is a law suit or collections I need to pay. I am hoping that by filing this report of a possible scam I can either be given some confirmation of the allegations for a law suit against me or stop this law firm(which I can not find a working number for) is stopped.
