I received a letter that looks like a W-2 from a company called National Theft Security And Recovery (NTSR). I have been told by a local car deal ship that it was a scam and with further research : they are victimizing people to believe that their anti- theft tracking is expiring and that you need hurry and register it with NTSR or you are leaving your vehicle "At Risk" of not being recovered back to you if it is stolen ( in the letter they indicate this word for word. On the letter it gives you a 9 digit pin # & a specific password in letter form. Their phone number 1-844-638-5584 Ext 2 (Se Habla Espanol Ext 4. Their business hours. The victims car info such as vehicle year, make/type and the registration expiration date.

Then it says : We hope you have been enjoying your ( whenever car) so far. As of 5/24/2017 your vehicle has not been registered into the National Theft Search and Recovery database for Motor Vehicle Theft Recovery.

Police Traceable Decals and VPR Tracking on or before the expiration date of 6/5/2017. Without active police traceable decals and VPR tracking on your vehicle, Police and Law Enforcement Agencies will not have access to track your vehicle back to you through the National Theft Search & Recovery Database in the unfortunate event that your is stolen.
