Type of a scam Employment

I received an interview for a job working from home. I got hired and received a offer letter. I contacted The Bank Of New York Mellon and gave them the information on the check and they stated that they don’t have any accounts for Employment to purchase equipment with and to call Novartis. They sent me a counterfeit check to buy my materials. I called Novartis and they were closed. I intend to send Novartis everything they sent me along with the email transmissions, I’ve made copies of the letter inside of the FEDEX envelope and the check as well, they were trying to get me to deposit it in my check or hurry up to go to an atm and cash it!

I never knew these type of scams existed and I was really excited about the job with good pay for training and the final big pay of $36 per hour after 2 wks of training. This is horrible! I was going to put in my two week notice and I’m glad that it finally kicked in that something wasn’t right and I told Mr. Simon Brown(fake name) that this was weird sending me a large check to purchase office equipment after they claimed that they were first going to send me an Apple Computer, printer with scanner, etc. Once I started asking questions and told him that I had to clock in for work early, he was typing and asking me where I was and to go to the atm to cash the check!

I never answered him since I was at work on the computer! I have reported this on skype as Employment scam with fraudulent check of $3,550!!! I was so excited that I sent my daughter the email and told her to apply as well, I even went to Novartis and couldn’t find any of the positions online at all
