Type of a scam Identity Theft
I received a call on my cell phone at 3:27 PM PDT from Devine, TX from a number 830-844-91(3) transferred from our Main Line of our Company Phone. I accepted the call because I thought it might be an HR Verification of Employment. When the person asked for me by name – *** *** and asked if he had reached me – i said "YES – he had reached me and what was this regarding" – he then hung up. I called the number back but of course it did not go through and said that the number could not be completed as dialed. I am alerting my Company as well as this did not go to my Cell Phone Directly but came as a Transfer to my Line from the Main Company Line.
