Initial means of contact Online classifieds (e.g., Craigslist)

A guy saying “I looked at a similar car in Jefferson City and it was very different than i imagined instantbg.com website”.

And lines like “I would come in the near future or even right now” and “Sorry to bug you, are you still here though?”.

After going to the website, entering the VIN number, a simple report with the make and model appeared. Then it asked me for my name and email to get the report emailed. After that, a payment page asking for 22.95 and my credit card info.

That’s when I did a search for reviews on the website and found your scam reports here. Thanks to everyone who took the time to write their experience here.

Caller claims to work for Customer Care and asks if I still own my car and if I want to extend the warranty. The first time they called I said not interested and could not talk. When I hung up the phone, a message popped up stating "possible scam, would you like to block this call?" so I did and that’s when the scam happened and it put a virus on my phone so when this company called me twice a day I was unable to use my phone unless I shut down and restarted to remove the blocker. Which prevented me from answering any call from any person calling me, unless I shut down every time this scammer called. I had to have my cell phone company do a full erase of my phone and start out like a new phone. And this guy still calls, but I don’t answer. At least I have my phone back. BIG [censored], BIG SCAM
