My son received information from New York state retirement system. It is disposed to be from his sister who died last December. To receive the benefit he is to mail a copy of the death certificate. They also encouraged him to call funeral home and obtain a certificate. She didn’t have retirement and I think they want her social security. I called them and got this number 518-474-3621 Kristina Sherlock answered the phone.
