A couple of years ago I received a phone call from "National student loan". They said they were calling Sallie Mae customers because Sallie Mae had not been handling their accounts right. They said that they had had a lot of complaints and were trying to make things right by helping their customers. She told me that I qualified for a loan at a reduced interest rate and reduced payments. She told me that I had to bring my account current in order for her to process the loan. She had me make 2 payments totaling over $700. When I made the payments she said it would take a couple of days to process the loan and she would contact me. I recieved no more calls from her. I had to call her for her to tell me that National Student Loan couldn’t do anything with my case and she said we are giving you back to Sallie Mae.
