Type of a scam Online Purchase

I replied to a Craigslist ad about a job that was hiring & received an email back from a completely unrelated company name than that of the one I thought I had replied to. The email came from a man calling himself Charles & had a link for me to click on in the email. The gist of his scam was that I would be reviewing Amazon products for their company and would be compensated for every product I reviewed. He included in the email that I had to have an existing account with Amazon due to the fact I had to have purchase history because you cannot leave reviews on a new account with no prior purchases. Now, I am no dummy… He left way too may red flags in his email, 1st off… His "personal email" a gmail account would NEVER be used for a corporate account. #2) He signed it "Charles" with no last name nor title. #3) Referred to his "product manager" by !st name only & did not mention any department. #4)The fact that he said you must have had purchase history (scammers love for you to have an existing account, makes it easy for them) #5)The link he enclosed, I did check out & is the most unprofessional excuse of a job application I have ever saw! There is no address, phone number, Person’s names, titles, Nothing! #6) I checked the BBB instantly & of course, no company by that name anywhere and lastly, #7)Amazon DOES NOT use ant 3rd parties to review their products! So, make sure you take into account all these facts people. Scammers generally aren’t THIS dumb but… just always be cautious & keep your eyes open to the red flags!
