Type of a scam Debt Collections

First I received a phone call from an unidentified number telling me that I was being issues a court summons as a result of a charge from a company. He couldn’t tell me what the charge was but gave me the contact information to reach out with them to sort it out. Once I contacted them they gave me the option of being taken to court and owing a certain amount of fees and then offered a settlement instead. They had information about a speedy cash loan I took out when I was about 18, my bank info, address, etc. I thought I had finished paying it off way back when but when they threatened to show up at my work with a court summons I panicked. So I sait up a payment plan with them where the initial $139.12 was to come out on Friday, February 3 with reoccurring payments of about $35 every two weeks after. About an hour later, I thought about it and realized it seemed a bit fishy. I called back and requested they send me a letter stating what we had discussed and the agreed plan, they told me it would be in Monday morning. After receiving the letter it looked fishy and I then proceeded to look up the company on the ScamPulse.com website only to discover that they didn’t exist. I then called my bank to place a stop payment on my account in relation to this "company".
