Received an official looking credit report notification. It said that negative information was added to my account from an electricity, gas, water or pay tv provider. However this is about a "data report" from the National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange. It says the company is managed by Equifax Information Services. I know that I’ve never had a late payment with any of these companies. I was suspicious so I called the phone number and the recording asked for my Social Security Number and the first 4 numbers of my address. After researching the company I saw that the BBB had other reports of this scam so I’m reporting it.
