I answered a ad for a sublease rental in Bellevue, WA from the tenant Nathan McCoy, who told me he was in Switzerland on a 6 month training from Microsoft. The condo was a 978 sq ft. modern renovation with garage in Bellevue, Wa. The rent was $1200 which included utilities. If I paid three months in full I would save $100 per month. I wired the money to as Asian man, Manivanh Phaophong, who claimed to have been owner of the complex. The landlord, Tyler Richards from New Jersey was involved too. DO NOT EVER GO ON CRAIGSLIST. When I arrived in Seattle, I was told the keys would be handed or mailed to me. Never happened. They took my $4,050 and ran.
I did report this to the Bellevue, Wa police. I lost my money, and it was a lessoned learned. I hope they put these guys behind bars.
