my own cell phone number

Got a call on my cell that caller ID identified as MY OWN CELL PHONE NUMBER – as if I was calling myself! I did answer it, out of curiosity, and a robo-voice identified itself as "Verizon" and said that my service "had been suspended". (My cell provider is indeed Verizon). It then said to press "1" to be re-instated. I instead terminated the call and immediately called Verizon (the real one) to report this. They went through their usual spiel about "spoofing" and call blocking. It took me a while to get across that they were spoofing my own number and repressenting themselves AS Verizon. Verizon agreed to report it to their fraud division
