Type of a scam Government Grant
I was researching government grants and one of the search results showed a website that claimed to help small start up businesses get grant money. I started filling out the information requested until they asked for credit card info, and deleted it. Shortly after I received 2 emails and then a phone call from Cathy Brown from MRL Incorporated. She explained that the federal government had grants for small start ups, especially those owned by women or other minorities. She explained there was money, up to $200,000, available and the best way to get it was to pay $99, which also included a business plan packet. Then 6-8 weeks later, I could have access to the grant money. I called SCORE and ScamPulse.com and learned it was a scam.
