Type of a scam Online Purchase

I wanted to advise you of a scam using advertisements listed on the internet that involves your community.

This website:

and this email:

are involved. This is a long story, and if you are interested, I can give you many more facts and details. M&M Imports do not exist at the location on their website. I drove 1,687 miles from Florida to buy a car there. It is a towing business next to a vacant lot. Their ad for the car was identical to the ad on another well known vehicle site (Hemmings) a few weeks ago for a 1965 Porsche 356 SC for $35,100. It was Togo Brown with a red interior. Even the price and the write-up on the bogus site was exactly the same.

I talked to a "Julian" on the phone several times and told him when I would be there and what bank the cashier’s check would be drawn upon. We made an appointment to meet last Friday, December the 4th at around noon. And I kept him advised along the way.

They never answer the phone, but you can leave a message. They call you back, sometimes. So it appears they are taking ads off other sites because they list a lot of high end cars, and put them on their website, hoping someone will send them money up front. I talked to a "Manny" who used to own an M&M Imports at the address on their website. He now owns Airport Auto Brokers. His telephone number is 423-320-7439. He shut down M&M Imports 6 or 7 years ago and never had a website. This is the gist of the scam. I wanted you to know and take any action you feel is required. I am going to put this out to as many public forums as possible to prevent someone from losing a lot of money. I will help you any way I can.</mailto:[email protected]></http:>
