The scammer used the messaging app Telegram to contact me. They even told me which job site they saw my resume on. They interviewed me immediately and hired me for a customer service position. They offered me $38/hr to work 40 hour weeks from home. They would send me a check to cover equipment. That’s when I realized this was a scam. The only infor.ation I gave them was what could be found on my resume. I gave no account information or my SSN.
