Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received a fake check in the mail. Immediate red flag, because I dont get mail like this. Looked up the routing number it was fake, looked up the remiter name, first thing that comes up is an obituary. Then looked up the address from where the envelope came and it’s to a pepper mill, not a bank, and if you look up the address the pepper mill has commented that people are getting checks from that address and it not associated with them.
