Type of a scam Tech Support
Saturday, January 7/2/17 at 10:45 am got a call from male subject asking if was the primary user of my computer. When asked why he wanted to know he said I had a virus and someone was trying to get into my computer. When asked what was the name of his company he said "Microsoft Tech Department". When asked, he was hesitant but gave his phone number as 1-888-526-6946. When asked where he was calling from he said New York. When asked his name he said "David". When told him I needed the last name for the fraud report I was going to file he said "You do what you have to do on your end and we will do what we have to do on our end". Conversation was then ended.
Only thing that showed up on caller ID was Out of Area 4332.
