Type of a scam Tech Support

I’m 80 years old and I was trying to login to my health account, when I got a big blue warning with a red flag in the bottom right hand corner telling me to call 1-833-760-0576. The warning advised me not to turn off my computer, or X out as it will jam up your computer. It said I had five minutes to call before the computer would jam up. I was intimidated by the warning and called. A man, Ray, with an Indian accent, answered, his phone number was 844-772-9312, ext. 402. He sent me a case ID number and a print out. He said his company was Micro Tech Learning. He asked for the last thing I did on my computer. Then he said how old is my computer, and that my security system has been breached and if I let him look at it, he wold help me resolve it. I gave him remote control of my computer, and my email address & telephone number. He said he would clean up the computer and agree to the service for 35 minutes for $199.99. I said I would pay wiht a check, then he asked for my permission, which I gave him. He said he would call me in 35 minutes when it’s done. I called my sister, who called BBB, who said turn off the computer, it’s a scam. I turned off the computer. When I turned it back on, my security system was intact.
