Type of a scam Debt Collections
Received a phone call saying that I was delinquent on my electric bill and would be shut off immediately-TODAY unless I paid up. When I asked how much I owed, he, Charlie, said, "look at your bill". I then asked him to tell me the phone number of MG&E so I can call them back and he hung up.
I then called MG&E and reported this, as I don’t owe any money to them, and they verified that and said I was the second person today to call about this scam.
