Type of a scam Online Purchase

Looking for puppies and found their website. Contacted via website chat to ask for more information. After talking with them , decided to continue with purchasing 2 puppies. They said would give discounted price since buying 2 and would ship them via in flight lap nanny for additional $300. Everything was set up. We received/signed a contract and was told to send money via Zelle to email address: [email protected] but it wouldn’t go through. So then sent the money via ApplePay to a different email: [email protected] Should have gone with our gut instinct sending up red flags when they got a little pushy about the money. But we were excited and naive and proceeded anyways. Then we were contacted by the lap nanny service Via email, Supreme Public Logistics-Pet Dept, saying they received the registration of the puppies but required “carrier service” be provided by us. That we had to “rent” appropriate airline crates from them for prices starting at $1000 up to $1500. Stating it would be refundable once puppies were delivered to us. Contacted Breeder and he said he would contact them for clarification as this was supposed to be in flight lap nanny service. He got back with us and said that apparently due to current world concerns regarding the corona virus, the airline policies for flying pets had changed and required shipping crates now. “For safety and welfare of the puppies.” This again sent up all the red flags and realizing it was already too late, we asked the Breeder for a refund. To which he stated they would. We have sent them multiple messages requesting the refund and they first said they would and then stopped responding. So we told them they would be reported. We even went back to their website and found one of the puppies on there, on another pet selling website. Told them as much and they tried to tell us the other site were the scammers and that we would get a refund. But nothing. We reported them to petscams.com and now here.
