Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was looking for a Maltese specifically and looked on the web for possibilities because there wasn’t any breeders locally. The site doesn’t have a physical address other than Richmond Virginia. I offered to come get the pup but they would rather ship the dog by air and stated it was free in one area on their website and $150 in another area. They called me and said, "I needed you to go to Walmart and get a money gram and take a picture of it and send it to me". The number they were calling from said Florida and I knew they were supposed to be in Virginia. I asked them if how did I know I would receive the dog once I sent the money and they got mad and kept saying, "you need to send the money you can’t have dog". They spoke broken English and they hung up on me when I started asking them questions. They have Jeff’s Maltese Puppies in some places on the Meg’s Maltese Puppies website. They make it sound like they will ship the puppies they raise then in some places it talks about other breeders and making arrangements with other breeders but they handle the money.. Somethin definitely fishy going on. Who knows how many $500 they have gotten already.
