Type of a scam Employment
After receiving a text from an unknown number offering me a job position they contacted me via email about cashing a check and then sending it to someone else. I saw the email address and realized that it wasn’t from a company because of the gmail email. I did some research and found the real company and the person who they where trying to impersonate and contacted them via email asking them to confirm if it was truly them or not. They contacted me immediately and told me it was a scam and that multiple people have been asking him the same thing. they sent a check and i never deposited it because i knew it was fraudulent.
