I received an e-mail from McCafe McDonalds Coffee & Espresso Drinks advising me that I may qualify for a car wrapping job using my own car. The scammer requested information that would qualify me for having their car wrapped by McCafe. The following statement reads below these questions. "McCafe McDonalds Coffee & Espresso Drinks will take full responsibility for placing and remove decal on your car and it will not resort in any damage. Also we have OUT-SOURCED the payment of funds to your through the payment of funds to you through out sponsor Agency, so please do not be alarmed by the payment not coming directly from McCafe McDonalds Coffee & Espresso Drinks. Your up front payment would made after you have sent a reply with answer to the questions above and a confirmation email saying we should go ahead and mail out funds and i will like you to send the pics of the vehicle". I replied to the scammer with his information. Several days later I received a letter, along with a check in the mail from the scammer. The letter states that you need to deposit the check as soon as possible and that there is a gift card reward for doing so. The letter states to text a phone number once the check is received and deposited. It also has me asking my bank when the funds will be available for withdraw, so they can send out the person to do the car wrapping. It also states to take a picture of the deposit slip and text or send to [email protected] (Please see the attached)
