Type of a scam Other
This insidious guy called my cell number to "collect" a voice sample from me. He claimed he was from the Mayor’s Office of Chicago. He successfully got a "Yes" after his first question. Scammers may be using the “Yes” recording of your voice to authorize charges on your phone. This is called “cramming” and it’s illegal. Scammers change their tactics as the public catches on, so be alert for other questions designed to solicit a simple “yes” answer. He furthered my questions & "got" other syllables & vowels. Perhaps to concoct words with my speech? I have no idea what will happen next. With the approaching holidays, I am sure someone will attempt an identity theft.
