I applied for a job as a mystery shopper on Americas Job Exchange(See link above). I was required to send my personal info to [email protected] They responded and said that they were sending me a check and that i should depossit it in my account, wait for it to clear, take $400.00 and send the remainder to 2 different people. they said that an evaluation form would accompany the check but i did not receive one. the only thing that came in the envelope was the check.
He/ she contacted me via text to let me know that the check had been delivered to my address and that i should use the instructions given to me in my email to complete the task.
I suspected that it was a scam so i did not deposit the check because i wanted to research the company especially since the business name on the check was tottally different. As a result he/she warned me that my resume would be "black listed on the AmeriacJobExchange database."
