I came home and my husband was on the phone with a person who he said was his friend. He said he needed to take a $299 dollar check down to the bank made out to "Mary Collier". I called the number back and asked "who is this?" The man said "Well, who is this?". I said "I am _____’s wife". He said "Oh I am a friend of _____!". I said "Well is this Phil" (a fake name of no one that we know)? He said "Oh yes it is!" Then I hung up because I knew it was a scam.
