Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
While completing a survey after purchase made online through Amazon an additional window popped up at the completion of the first one. Asking that I complete additional surveys from other online purchases that I made. It Did not appear to be questionable since I review products I purchase all the time. I was prompted to a general survey. Upon completion I closed the page. Within minutes I received an email from a company advising me I was chosen to be a "Mystery Shopper". I completed the form and was "Selected-Chosen" and would receive my assignment soon.. the next day I received an email re: my assignment at Wal-Mart and would be receiving instructions and funds to complete the job.. Today I received a USPS priority envelope with instructions and a Check in the amount of $2,950.00. Advising me to cash the check or deposit and wait 2 days for it to clear and then withdrawal all the money, complete 3 task and email the company with my review and Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart receipt and Money Gram receipt. The scenario, emails, return address just didn’t sit right with me.
