Con solicited architectural services for a house design via text. Referencing a real lot which was recently sold (per county auditor) along with various details of the desired house, the con requested to pay a ‘retainer’. On receiving an invoice, con requested to pay for both architectural fees and fees for a surveyor (by credit card), which were to be passed on to the surveyor in the form of a certified check.
Communication ceased when arrangement was refused.
