Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
This scammer, puts his name down as Luis S. On his receipts which are written from a receipt booklet that can be bought at wal mart, he does his scan business in the Bakersfield area, and he also operated in the Corcoran area right behind Js mini Mart and scammed hard working people out of well over 10 thousand dollars in transmission repairs and guaranteed a one year warranty on all rebuild that he performed. He also would tell people he would complete the repairs in ten days. On all occasions these transmissions would take anywhere from three weeks to three months if he completed the job. He claimed to have rebuilt the transmissions with brand new parts which were in fact not rebuilt. He simply replaced a few components with used parts off of wrecked cars and kept the rest of the money, then when the transmission broke down after he claimed to repair it, he was no where to be found. He takes the money up front for the parts and then rigs up the transmission and bills you for the labor afterwards. I made contact with the shop that was neighbors to him at his Bakersfield addressed shop and they said there was a lot of people looking for him because he did the same thing over there, frauding people out of money and not standing behind his work, and doing business under a fake name to make it harder to track him down. I wouldn’t recommend making contact with this fraudulent scammer.
